OVC stands for orphans and vulnerable children. The definition
of orphans and vulnerable children is broad. It includes, but is not
limited to, “children who have with deceased parents, children with one parent
who has HIV/AIDS, HIV+ children, children without access to food, children
without access to education or educational supplies, children without access to
shelter, and children without access to clean drinking water.” We have
given both material and financial support to over 200 children in the
community of Nsanja and neighbouring parishes. The beneficiaries of this
program have been the orphans, needy, and vulnerable children.
This has been possible due to assistance that has been availed
from both Mukono District local government, GVN, The Real Uganda, The
Irish Embassy in Uganda, and individual donors.
